Hooray, getting an SPV from Santa

I opened my wife's Orange invoice and noticed charges for a phone number I did not recognise and for something called SPV promotion pack. I visited the Orange site and now it makes sense: I mentioned some time ago that if I were to buy a mobile (don't have one now) I'd only consider one that combines lots of functions. I was not even dropping a Christmas present hint and now she's bought me an SPV. From what I read on this forum it will be a great present! :D :( :(

I promise to tell you all what happens over Christmas. I am fairly certain it's not for herself though, she's a bit of a technofobe. And BTW chewie: I was not being nosey, just happened to open the mail. I put it back and I don't think she twigged. As for pissing on my cornflakes: never eat those anyway!

:D  :(

Nice 1 rvanr!

Well don't be thinking you'll be playing with it straight away though.. Took me a week (days&nights) to get to grips with the thing. Guess we'll be seeing you more often on MDC after xmas then, huh?! :D

:D Well, I was not disappointed! :(

Had some relatives over, including 4 little kids. Should have seen their faces when they came down early in the morning and saw the mountain of presents. They looked almost as happy as I did when I unwrapped my phone!

I agree that the phone seems a bit slow at times. For no apparent reason sometimes it seems to take ages responding to a key press. It must be doing something in the background, like communicating with the transmitter/exchange. Any telecomms experts out there that can shed some light on this?

Apart from that little niggle it's great! I'll be using it for real when I am going to Dubai on Saturday.
