Guest o2mpx Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 Just got one from x1387. 1. Lighter and slimmer than mpx200 2. Had to manually set to 1900 band 3. Reception about the same as O2 xphone 4. For some reason, although I have Tmobile, phone shows Cingular so it's always roaming. Anyone has any idea how to fix it?

Guest o2mpx Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 Used it for a day now, further thoughts: 1. Doesn't seem to be built as solidly as the mpx200. When ringer is set to a louder volume, the whole phone body buzzes when an incoming call is on 2. The type fonts are in white, and when you settle on an option, the font turns to black, but the type face is not bold or thick enough, it actually is not easy to read. This may be because of the complex Chinese characters need the type font to be in fine/slim font, but when switched to English, it's less desirable 3. The network setting to 1900 vs 900/1800 is in Chinese, so must be a bug just like the O2 xphone's bluetooth setting is in Chinese Conclusion: I'll keep it for now because it's smaller than the xphone, and there aren't other ones with SP2003, but when Motorola or Samsung comes out with theirs, I'll switch over and sell it on ebay

I ordered my Mio 8390 from x1387 some time ago, payed them a week ago, and my order is still "beeing processed right now" and "will be sent soon" :D

Guest schriss Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I have ordered from x1387 a week and a half ago... fortunately they replied on saturday stating they will ship my phone on monday, so in my case it will take 2 weeks to get it. Still not bad, i have read reports about 3-weeks delivery times. They seem to be very busy lately.
