Guest shadamehr Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 Forgive the post, but I thought this interesting enough not to be "Off Topic". My partner has recently been receiving, on an almost daily basis, a Picture Message I sent her two weeks ago. I rang Orange just today, to confirm that this was a problem with HER provider, O2, just to make sure it wasn't a issue my end that would be chargeable, as I had checked an double checked that my phone no longer had the message on it, in pending, drafts, outbox etc. I was however, quite surprised to have Orange, for once, instantly know what I was talking about, and instead tell me it is INDEED an ORANGE FAULT, that they are all too aware of, after shed loads of complaints from recipients etc, and they are working to stop as quick as they can. The girl I spoke to said she had been advised that customers would not be charged for any but the first such message/not come out of MMS allowance etc, but that if there were any problems when my bill came in, they would refund straight away. So, I am posting this, just to draw members attention to it, and to advise you to check your bill just in case anyway, and ring Orange if there are any discrepancies. She did not say how widespread this problem was, so I don't know if it is a universal problem that could apply to us all or not, but she did say they had been inundated with complaints. So, I hope this post helps.
Guest ChrisJM Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 I know a few people who have had the same done...
Guest morpheus2702 Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Had the same problem - my sister tried to send me a couple of pictures from her T610 (on T-Mobile). Not only do they refuse to open but for about week, I was getting new MMS alerts every two hours or so.
