Guest adytonks Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 ORANGE SPV M1000 http://www.business.orange.co.uk/servlet/S...231072103347893 VS O2 XDA II http://www.my-xda.com Hi all I have been with Orange for over 6 years with my latest phone being the original SPV. I believe Orange to be one of the best operators for customer service around. I'm also a business customer by the way but when our companies need’s out grow the SPV I took a look @ the XDA II. I did not want to leave orange so when I heard the news about the M1000 being available from Orange I thought all our problems were solved. This was not the case Orange are refusing to sell them to any business customers who have below 500 hand-sets on Orange business plans. I asked Orange what I was expected to do to be able to get the M1000 and received in reply that I would be able to have an M1000 if I employed another 497 employees and gave them all Orange hand-sets. Well what an absolutely ludicrous idea. So I have left Orange after over 6 years of them taking my money on monthly packages for inclusive minutes I have not always used in the vain that when I upgrade my hand-set I would get a good price on the upgrade. I have moved to O2 with an online business package and the O2 XDA II. O2 have just lowered the cost of the XDA II to only £229.47 +VAT for business customers. I am now very happy, I was very happy @ Orange too and I will probably miss them but after 6 years I’m just fed up and tired of who ever makes stupid boardroom decisions with regards to their marketing and who is or is not allowed to purchase a phone or hand-set Any way I would imagine that Orange would assign application locking and God knows what manner of security to make your life difficult so that you would be unable to just enjoy your new M1000. O2 on the other hand do not do anything along those lines to its XDA II. Orange who believe you should TRY something out before you buy it WILL NOT EVEN LET YOU HAVE IT. Just a bit of advice to all the loyal Orange customers out there (like I was) *** DO NOT BE AFRAID *** You may feel nice and secure with Orange 150 free call customer services and all other manner of God knows what from Orange, but you only live once so live dangerously and get what you WANT. So if it means leaving Orange’s haven of “150” “Option 1” hear how many inclusive minutes you have left this month then DO IT AND LIVE A LITTLE. Ady :D
