Better RPG for the Smartphone?

Ive tried Dragonbane and Nethack.

The battle scenes in DragonBane reminds me of the pokemon games and the pokemon games had better animation during battle.

Nethack is all ascii.

If the SPV can handle Spacrally 3d, Interstellar flames and Mini Transcanada Racing, I dont see any reason why it cant have the same or better graphics and gameplay like the Golden Sun Series on the Gameboy Advance.

It doesn't even have to be a real time rpg.

It can be turnbased.

It doesn't have to be a diablo clone and I would like a really good story to keep me going on my quest.

And I want better graphics than what DragonBane has especially in the battle scenes.

(Honestly the graphics in the Exploration Mode in Dragon Bane is better than it's battle scenes, better looking than Wolfenstein 3d)

Im willing to pay for the RPG games but where are they?

Can't Everquest Mobile be ported to the Smartphone?

The SPV seems capable of better graphics than the GBA, almost near psx1 quality.

But you don't need psx1 quality for a good RPG just look at the SNES RPGs and GBA RPGs

So how come game developers aren't jumping in on a potential cash cow?

the time taken to create an rpg is the biggest hurdle, stuff like zelda took 2-3 yrs to make with a team of about 10 developers :D

Ok that I understand but Everquest for the Pocket PC has been available and is already a 3 part series for the Pocket PC so

why can't they port that to the SPV like Interstellar Flames and Mini Trans Canada Racing which were from the Pocket PC platform?

Im afraid that our phone would be obsolete before those RPGs come out.

no reason at all they cant be ported, but you'll have to ask the developers why they havent

but the ms smartphone becoming obsolete???? i dont think so, big things will be happening over the next year or so hardware wise, and software wise, big things are happening there aswell, very soon :D

Whoa, hold the phone, where do you get NetHack for the Smartphone? Does it work with the Orange SPV/HTC Tanager? :shock:

Yes it works for all the SPV phones. All u need to do is search right here on MoDaCo... there is a download for it here somewhere.
