Guest Bob the Gooner Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I have got an SPV E200 and I am experiencing problems charging my phone using the car charger. Has anyone got the same problem? It will charge if the battery has used only a little power, but if it has very little charge, the car charger has no effect, in fact, it would appear that it drains the battery further. Nothing like the E100 which would charge perfectly well with a car charger.
Guest yoos Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I have similar problems with some car chargers. One I bought on ebay seems to work fine, but the ones I bought from a different online store don't work all the time. I really can't find a pattern as to when they work or don't work :D Sometimes the amber light on the phone is on indicating it's charging, the battery icon changes to the plug, but the phone doesn't charge up! :? :? I can see the battery percentage dropping instead of raising...
Guest Bob the Gooner Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Same sort of thing really, it is hard to establish a pattern, I brought a lead off Ebay which will charge my E100 but not the E200. A lead purchased from an Orange Retail shop will only charge as I first stated when only a little power has been used. Why couldn't they just leave things be, the adaptor + Nokia lead worked fine. Is this a software issue? Anyone tell me where I can get my E100 refurbished(HTC not Hays Technology) I am getting alot of bad stories about both.
Guest yoos Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 My GUESS is that it's not software related.... The usb/car charger I bought on ebay from pdaaddons_com (i.e. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting ) works fine on my Voyager (Imate Smartphone 2). The model number is CAR CHARGER MODEL: CK0203 The two E200 Car+USB Charger/syncs I bought from http://www.smartphoneaddons.com/ both have the same problem I mentioned above :D Shame really... Smartphoneaddons seem to have good customer service, but I personally don't beleive their E200 chargers work right.
