Guest jasonmccullough Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 Hey everyone. I am from australia and I have a qtek 7070, i was just wondering how I find out what rom I have and how I update it as I cant read the qtek website. Im just having probs at the moment because it stalls, and sometimes the phone calls dont end and I have to take the battery out just o I can hang up whichis crap. EDIT: ok found out I have a Version 3.0 (Build 13101) Radio Version 1.33.00 Does this help at all? Thanks in advance jasonmccullough
Guest mrdanne Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 Hi, are you referring to www.qtek.se or www.qtek.nu website? There is a update available there, but it has SWEDISH T9. Qtek ROM 1.50.9.1 MSN update Maybe you can contact BrightPoint ([email protected]), hosting the Qtek site, and ask them if they got any ROM with english t9.
Guest dobserver Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 I am also using a QTEK 7070 in Australia and was wondering what ROM update people recommend. I am currently running: Version 3.0 (Build 13258) ROM Update Version: 1.50.9.1 I know everyone has there own opinions but its hard down here with hardly any support for these phones. Thanx
Guest BrAGoL Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 @dobserver you already have 1 of the nicest roms... if it doesn't have the msn and sms alert fix, then you can try the qtek update that you can download on this this link, http://www.qtek.nu/files/Qtek150.zip orange rom is also good... but you can't easily upgrade your current rom into it... you still need to downgrade first your bootloader... and the problem i'm seeing there is, you "always" need to decertify it after every hard reset... anyways, the choice is yours... :D Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest mrdanne Posted April 27, 2004 Report Posted April 27, 2004 As I said before, the Qtek ROM BrAGoL recommended has SWEDISH T9, just a little warning. However, it has the Msn Messenger fix, but I use Agiles Messenger anyway. /Daniel
Guest BrAGoL Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 @mrdanne sorry... did'nt notice that the link you post is also the same link i pointed... i've no time checking it when i posted it via mobile... just realized it when i used my office pc... :D
Guest mrdanne Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 I think so, it is just a question of what ROM you use. /Daniel
