mio 8390 has problem with multinumber STK card

my multinumber card works well in all other cellulars such as nokia, ericsson, motorola but not in the 8390. In the other cellulars usually after I inserted the card & turned on the phone it will ask for the PIN, after I entered the PIN it will come up with the corresponding telephone number in the sim, but in the mio after I entered the PIN it comes up with the message NO SERVICE, and that's all. When looking into the spec. it tells clearly that it supports the STK, any idea why? When I ask the Mitac at first they said it is the hardware problem & ask me to contact the distributor, but the distributor said mio does not support this type of sim. When I turned back to mio they don't not coming back to me any more. :evil:

Assuming you have manually set the network frequency to the right band?
