Sorry, I had no response in another thread, trying again here:

OK its probably me ... but

I installed Smart Tones, all my sounds are on the default folder, I think, on the phone.

So I go into the program, set my Parameters as Storage CardsMy Documents and select valid

Its there I can see it.

Click Done, but why are the list of files those on my phone and not the files I have placed in that folder??

Also there seems to be a few extra french named files to pick from.

Does it select these and copy them into the selected folder? because its not copied mine. Can someone give me a quick overview of the functionality of this please?

I was confused by your description mate.

When you say "all my sounds are on the default folder" which folder do you mean actually ?

If you've pasted tones into IPSM Application Data Sounds then they clearly won't show up when you define the path as Storage Card My Docs.

You need to put your ringtones into the latter. It might need a restart just to be sure.

I seem to remember having trouble with this but it won't work with the E200 so can't try it now.

Sorry for the confusion.

What I meant is that the normal default folder IPSMApplication DataSounds contains the tunes the phone offers for selection.

I have copied some tunes to My Documents folder on my SD card.

Using Smart Tones and selecting my SD card and My Documents I do not see these tunes at all, I simply see the same default tunes as if I hadnot selected a different folder.

As an aside, if I use Smart Explorer to navigate to IPSMApllication DataSounds - I can only see two of the 'default' tunes (probably the two I have selected in Smart Tones!!) Yet going back to Smart Tones I can see ALL the default tunes - so where is it looking and where are my tunes??

Thanks

George

If you've read the various Smart Tones threads up here and found nothing to help, I'd suggest reinstalling it.

Otherwise I have no idea. Sorry !
