Guest nato Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Much as i take my hat off to the development of new apps for this platform, i dont see why i should pay for a sim unlocking program. after all,i didnt pay to get my nokia unlocked all those years ago. i therefore challenge someone to make this app and provide it free as was the original spv.i think its about time dont you? Guest mcwarre Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Ah, poor old nato. If you are so concerned about it being free then I suggest that you develop it and burn a few E200's and MPx200's in the process (like Florin_m had to do to develop it). If you don't want to pay, you don't have to. You just can't unlock it. :D ;)
Guest nedge2k Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Oooo your playing with fire! Your lucky florin's on holiday
Guest nato Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 well as the song goes..best things in life are free! entitled to my opinion though :D oh and yes i am poor! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Richie M Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 As mcwarre stated Florin had to buy a few e200's and mpx200's to get this working, so its only fair that he recovers his costs! If anyone else wants to put this sort of financial outlay in the name of research and doesnt want to recoup their money fair enough, but no-one has stepped forward yet :D

Guest nato Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 ok point taken. My sincere apologies. I did not realise developing apps sometimes means trashing handsets. And I should have thought a bit more before opening my mouth. Can one of the mods please delete this topic. The more i think about it the more ashamed i become. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest ghostface Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Fully Respect the fact he may of trashed a few phone but at 20 quid a pop How much has he made when he unlocks 200 phones @ 20 quid = 4000  Thats more than enough to cover his costs..... But im not complaining if I could do it myself, I would. :D
Guest mcwarre Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Say he burned 3 of each. As they would have been non-contract phones they would have cost around £400 each. That's a total of £2400. He would need a minimum of 120 unlocks to get that money back. If you include the costs for the website, a significant amount of time taken doing it and the support required then I feel he is more than entitled to earn a few bob. It's called capitalism; just think, if we didn't have it, the E-200 would remain unlocked still.....
Guest yarod_g14 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 This is getting silly. I believe we need competition to drive down prices. It appears they are all the same. Seems like price fixing to me. Ill pay for it from the cheapest place, if anyone wants to compete for Users that is. If not I'm going to..........USE MY NOKIA!!!!!!!
