Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Microsoft has announced a preview release of OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1, a fantastic application for Tablet PCs! The information page here includes a fanastic little piece of information... New: Copy notes from a Microsoft Windows® Mobile™-based Pocket PC or Smartphone. Take notes on the go with your Pocket PC and copy them into OneNote. Also send recordings from a Smartphone into OneNote to track thoughts and reminders. Woohoo! As you can tell, i'm pretty excited about this, OneNote is a great app and Smartphone / Pocket PC integration makes a lot of sense. Let's hope this is the first step of many along this road... :D P
Guest ClintEastman Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I love OneNote, not tried SP1 yet though, must get testing!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I have a copy of OneNote and can't say i'm exactly jumping around the room about it... ;) It's cool if you're organised though and Smartphone integration is always a good thing :D
Guest raider84 Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 this is great... I use OneNote all the time.... looks like the world is trying to download it now, v.slow from the MS download page!!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Yeah, noticed that raider84 ;-) All we can conclude Mono is that you are not an organised person :D P
Guest raider84 Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I will probably bring my tablet with me on Saturday, seems like a good way to kill some time on the train finding out all of the new features.... 86% downloaded.....
Guest yoos Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I'm still waiting for something like this for the smartphone: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=96442&highlight= That would be awesome!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 "]All we can conclude Mono is that you are not an organised person :D I've never bragged that i am! Downloading now at 10k/s, is it just me or is that a really silly extensive registration process to get to the download?
Guest zeta101 Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 do all you guys have tablet pcs then? or can you use onenote on a desktop, and if so whats the point without the ability to write stuff in by hand?
Guest Vector Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 yeh, i tried it on my desktop....you have a pen tool i think :D i never used it tho so i uninstalled ;)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Yeah you can install it on any version of Windows, at the very least to view .one files. But theres not much point creating them unless you have a tablet, which i do.
