Guest timdavey Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I have been frustrated by the fact that my i600 goes to "sleep" so to speak when closed causing it to not automatically sync my POP email every 15 minutes as setup to do. Yesterday, while my phone was beeping with the annoying low battery chime, I noticed that it did actually sync and pull down new email. This is the first time it has actively pulled my POP email down with the lid closed. Does anyone have any thoughts on what the connection might be between the low battery chime and the "sleep" mode when the lid is closed? My theory is that somehow it might not be asleep once this low battery process kicks off. If so, perhaps the OS could be tweaked to mimic that mode when closed allowing auto sync as advertised. I am not technical enough to attempt but would welcome any thoughts, comments, or suggestions. My overall goal is to get the phone to reliably pull my pop email down every 15 minutes with the lid closed. Thanks for any help in advance.
