Firstly, I'm not sure if this is the right place for posting this but here it goes.....

I am 26 years old and have ambitions to getting a job within the mobile phone industry as a Mobile phone games/multimedia tester.

I have had a fascination with mobile phones ever since I got my first Motorola handset back in 1997. Over the years I continued to upgrade to better, more functional handsets up until November 2002 when I upgraded to the wonderful SPV Smartphone, which was so much more functionally advanced than any other handset out at the time. Last November 2003 I upgraded to the newer E200 Smartphone but had to return it to Orange due to bugs and problems I was experiencing with it. At the moment I am waiting for Motorola to release their new Smartphone handsets.

I have a keen interest in video games on a variety of platforms

including personal computers, arcades, consoles and mobiles. For many

years now I have been a keen follower in mobile technology and gaming.

Whilst regularly playing games on my handset I also frequently download

other multimedia content such as wallpapers, ringtones and utilities. As

well as being a keen gamer, I also hold a strong interest in the

advancements in mobile technology with regards to improvements in

processor power, mobile hardware and advancements in the functionality.

I have sound observational skills and first-rate hand-eye coordination.

I attained a BSc (Hons) Degree in Engineering IT. Since February 2001 up

until March 31st 2004, I was working as a programmer for a company that

specialises in Automotive Software Solutions. I developed packages and

products programmed using Oracle PL/SQL. Before the packages and

products can be released live, thorough testing in the forms of fault

finding and bug reporting needs to be carried out. As part of the

testing process, accurate test plans were created. Thorough functional

and integration testing was performed using manual or automated

techniques.

I recently left this job by taking Voluntary redundancy and am looking

for a change in career. Because of my passion for mobile phones and the

technology behind them I really want to try and get into Mobile phone

testing for one of the major UK networks if possible. I have applied for

a number of jobs, which have been advertised online but have had no

feedback. After calling up the employment agencies, it seems that they

are looking for people with experience in the field, but I have no

experience as yet.

If anyone would be able to help me by giving me some advice on how to attain a job as Mobile Phone games/multimedia tester or even if you know somebody else who may be able to offer me

advice, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you know person I

could write/talk to within Orange UK, Microsoft UK or Motorola about this matter that would also be of great help.

Thanks for taking time out to read this.
