Orange World on MPx200 - IE without pictures doesn't work.

Hi there,

I have just got an Orange MPx200 and am generally pleased with it. I've done a little bit of browsing with PocketIE but have just noticed a problem.

If you go to Menu->Options->General and then untick "Show pictures", when you load the next page you are unable to navigate the screen using the D-pad. Normally, if you click "down", focus skips from one link to the next. This does not happen if you don't have the pictures showing, you lose focus and can't do anything else but turn the pictures back on.

I'd just installed IMeter and thought this might have caused it, but I have uninstalled it and get the same behaviour.

ROM update versions:

Operator: 1.0.22.64

Manufacturer: 1.0.22.64

Microsoft: 3.0.13258.0

File System: 3.0.13258.0

Thanks for any help.

Odd- I've got exactly the same ROM versions, but I haven't found that problem.

Are you getting that problem on all pages, or only certain specific ones?

I haven't tried too many yet, mostly the Orange only ones. If I find anything else out then I'll post some more examples but I'm hoping to keep HTML pages to a minimum anyway.

Thanks.

Hey,

I've found the same. With pictures off the navigation arrows don't scroll properly. The selection box (cursor/whatever) sometimes won't go down the page, or has to be navigated from side to side before it moves down to the next link.

Hmmmm...

PS. I have Imeter, but in French, can anyone direct me to a FREE (I'm a student) English version please?

PPS. I haven't installed Imeter, so it is definitely not a software conflict - my IE has done this from day1.

Cheers
