Guest neko Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Hi everyone, Can anyone comfirm that the sync cables and headset cables from the other brand of phones or PDA could be compatible to the Mio 8390? You know, there are not much peoples out there knows about this phone so buying cables for it could be quite difficult, or unresonably expensive. Guest dcko Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 SE P900 stereo headsets works perfectly for the mitac mio 8390, i've been using it since day 1, as for the sync cable, it was included in the package so i didnt try anything else. Hope this helps~
Guest schriss Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 They have chargers and cool miniSync, all available for 8390. http://www.boxwave.com
Guest schriss Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 Is this compatible with Mio 8390??? http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/2210.htm "This simple adapter connects to your phone and allows you to use any universal 2.5mm handsfree kit"
Guest schriss Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 or this? http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1467.htm Sony Ericsson FM Radio hands free HPR-20
Guest schriss Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 OK, last question: is Mio 8390 compatible with all those universal 2.5 mm Hands free accessories? http://www.cellularaccessory.com/hanfreheadse.html
Guest mjohns Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Sorry for cross-reply..this topic seems more appropriate... I can't confirm for all universal headsets..but, the ones I have do _not_ work in the 8390. Ended up getting a Jabra FreeSpeak for MS PPC Phones and smartphones (it has a *modified* 2.5mm 4-conductor audio plug). It works great. Jabra also sells a wired headset for MS PPC/SP's which I'm waiting on. -Michael.
Guest schriss Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 This is our hope :D Hands Free Base Adapter - SPV & XDA Compatible with Orange: SPV, SPV E100 & SPV E200. Compatible with O2: XDA & XDA II. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/2210.htm Doesn't it look like the adapter we all need to be able to use ANY universal 2.5mm headset??
Guest emerica Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Will the output audio be stereo if i plug a stereo headphone in my Mitac Mio 8390? Cause i don't see any release of a Stereo headphone from Mitac itself. One more question, where could I get a SE P900 stereo headset individually? I searched it on Ebay and asked some phone shops but they doesn't seem to sell the headset individually, it always comes with the whole boxset.
Guest schriss Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I confirm that this 2.5 --> 3.5 adapter works with my Mitac Mio 8390! The ultimate Audio/headset adapter. Built in volume control for convenient/easy control. One short (12cm) single earbud is supplied for phone use. Retract to just 10cm for easy transport/storage. Extend to any length up to 85cm while in use. 3.5mm stereo jack so you can use your favorite/expensive headphone. And finally: Built in quality microphone, and answer/mute button!! Here it is: http://www.pc-mobile.net/m83aa.htm
Guest Connectodian Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 USB Sync cables for the Pocket PCs from Mitac, Yakumo, View Sonic and Medion are also compatible to the Mio 8390 Smartphone. So it should be possible to link the phone with an external GPS receiver using a cable for one of those PPCs. Will try it soon in combination with Mapopolis..
Guest Celestial Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 The Motorola Universal 2.5mm stereo headset with FM Radio DOES NOT work with the Mitac. If anyone knows of a stereo headset with radio which works with the Mita 8390 pls let us other Mitac users know about it. Thanks
Guest Celestial Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Can someone explain or provide a link to a diagram for the 2.5mm jack on the Mitac. That would make it easier for ppl to find an adapter or compatible headset. Thanks
