E100 still hasn't received Orange registration 24hrs+ later

Hi.

I just bought a 2nd hand E100 (so I'm new to how it works...or not in this case), and it's been unlocked and decertified.

However I bought a new Orange Pay as you go sim card. I phoned up Orange to register, and they said they'd send a sms msg. 24hrs later, still not received.

So I phoned 'em up again, they sent it again. 2hrs later, still not here!

BTW I can receive calls, and all other texts fine. Just not Orange's!

(So that means I can't phone out or text at the mo)

I tested a Virgin sim in the phone, and that works fine.

By any chance could the phone be blacklisted or something because it's unlocked?

Or is the sim just not working?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm not looking forward to a lengthy call to Orange...again! :roll:

If the phone was blacklisted it should fail to access all UK networks so I would say the phone is OK if you can use another network SIM.

Do you get 'Orange' displayed on the phone with signal bars ?

It works now. I tested phoning out just now and it's fine.

I never did get the sms from Orange though!

Thanks for your help anyway. I'm so glad it's not blacklisted, it wouldn't suprise me, I did buy it off ebay!
