Guest nickcornaglia Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 They really suck! They dont answer any questions. But are quick to claim they can not answer any "non released" info with a curt (sp?) response. There's 10 MVPs on board and answers are slow and far between. I guess the only questions they will answer are newbie questions or technical questions all of which are much better asked here anyway for a more thorough (and quicker) response. That was my last attendance.
Guest nedge2k Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 :D ;) I tend to agree with you there :P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 I chose not to be involved this time ;-) P
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 I can't help but think we could run our own monthly chats and make them more valuable? P
Guest Maverick Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 hehe.. I asked a couple of daft questions .. :-)
Guest nickcornaglia Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 We already have IRC so a formalized chat at a specific time would not be hard to do. And I agree....it would be more worthwhile that the MS Chats. They give me heart palpitations. I hate them so much I almost want to swear off MS products as a result. Okay that's a bit strong...but I do dislike them and find them useless.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 The chats we've done here at MoDaCo in the past have gone down really well...
Guest Jabbsy Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Yeah, i was at the last one, its really infuriating hearing this response to nearly every question... "That decision is made at a Network Operator level, you will need to speak to your Network Operator about whether that has/will be implemented" I'd love to participate in a MoDaCo chat if representatives from Microsoft, Orange (especially) and perhaps HTC are involved, so if i get bounced on a question to Microsoft then Orange will be able to answer it etc. Slightly offtopic this...but its soooo obvious Orange will not release WM2003 SE for the e200 because they'd rather we forked out a few hundred quid on a whole new handset than hold onto and upgrade our old handsets. Is anyone else annoyed by this trend which seems to be occuring from many Network Operators? I'd like to raise questions like this with Orange if they took part in the chat! Great idea about the MoDaco chats though Paul! :D
