Hey guys

I've made a little page on my site for direct links to music streams.

At the moment it only caters for my tastes :D but i thought it'd be cool if everyone contributed so we'd have a nice comprehensive link section which everyone will enjoy.

When you click a link it will download an .asx file, open WMP and start connecting to the content. I hope to have both link rates suitable for GPRS and for pass through connection.

Also id appreciate some feed back from SP2002 users on how it looks. The WM2003 browser has options to reseize the content of the page so it will fit in one column but im not sure how it'll look on SP2002 phones.

Ill keep the page as basic as possible so loading times wont be too slow.

Finally, although these .asx files will download, WMP will not always be able to play them depending on what network you are on and weather you are pay monthly or pre pay.

Tried the hard trance stream and it sounds great. Only few lag times. Im on Orange 1.6 SP 2K2.

Is there ANY way to get this station on there?! They have my favorite morning show and I haven't been able to hear it on the way to work since I moved away from Michigan 2 years ago...

Its on the site but havent been able to test it out as my phone says "Error 403...access denied..." to every url i try to access. Have a go and see what happens. If it doesnt work ill find a way to make it :D

imited gprs ;)

In your neck of the woods thou you should speak to encece...he knows more bout the u.s. service providers and their bandwidth costs than me.

He has an 8mb streaming limit...not sure if u'd have the same type of costs...check with ur sp.

For the bandwith, I'm not sure how you set this up... so I wasn't sure if the radio station is going through your website to where you get hit with bandwith on your website...

no its just an .asx file that downloads to the phone...bout 1.1kb. It contains the radio server information. The link you gave wouldnt have worked on sp but i managed to find one that links to an asx file so it would :D

i would like to suggest if you can also include in your site some local radio stations here (Philippines) that is on www.eradioportal.com
