Guest Pondrew Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 Someone told me the other day that it had already been done (a Smartphone flashed with Linux) but he doesn't know much about Smartphone generally so don't know where he's got his info from. To be honest I didn't believe him but just smiled and nodded! :D Lindows is 95% downloaded. 500 meg in under 2hrs. Currently downloading at 91kps. Not bad!

I downloaded Knoppix which runs direct from a CD and you can then choose to install it to the Hard Disk if you wish. http://www.knoppix.net i think it is.... Or - if you are feeling brave - and have plenty of disk space and ram - use Microsoft Virtual PC to create a virtual PC within your existing windows installation and you can then run it in a window (or full screen). I don't think i would swicth to Linux full time - but its nice to play with now and again - and does pretty much all i need to do on a PC. Then again - so does a Mac!!! arghh.
