Unlocking SPV e100

Hi,

A little post again from me as i'm a newcomer to the SPV and let me say that from what i have seen, its brilliant!

First is i want my 02 sim in, i read about the unlocking, but cannot get the file, plus it says must be running 0.98 but i dont know what it is running?

So how do i find out and update?

Secondly the one i have does not have messenger, so downloaded Agile and tried to install but did not like it because no security setting

How do i get past it and whats the proper way and place to install new software??

Sorry for all this but there are so many threads, i cannot find the stuff i need

Have a look in the SPVE100 sectio of the site there is a sticky post there wth the latest SIM unlock application,

this enables you to unlock your phone even if it has the 1.6

update by Orange.

ok, i read a little more down thread and tried the program!

but what is CANARY MODE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before you start you need to make sure you have WIN XP or 2k on your PC as ME and 98 etc will not work.

What you need to do is start your phone in the Canary screen

and plug it into the pc.

On the pc using task manager end the process wcescomm.exe and now run the SIM unlock app.

It will now display your unlock code, now reboot your phone with a non Orange sim in it and it will ask for the code to be entered. Type in the code and if done correctly your phone will be unlocked :D

and the Canary mode is the multi-coloured screen you get into if you start the phone up by holding dow the Power button and the voice record button at the same time :D

my phone has version 1.04

how can i get version 0.98 or 0.93 to unlock my phone on other networks

i seemed to have tried everything but nothing works

you have to downgrade bootloader, which is quite difficult...

There is no need to downgrade your bootloader, as in my

post above SIM unlockV2 enables unlocking on newer bootloaders.

i have BL 1.07.4 (i think, can't really remember) i-Mate Rom 1.5, used SPVunlock2, and it worked! awarner's right. but you can't use SPVunlock2 on SmartROM 1.5 or higher...
