Guest Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Hello, maybe this info is already somewhere here on Modaco. I couldn´t find it. So, does anyone know where Smartphones store the contacts ? What is the structure of this file and if it has some special is there an editor for offline editing, e.g. on a PC ? Adding many new contacts on the phone is tedious and synchronizing with PC-Outlook isn´t what I want. btw: the Smartphone contacts offer a lot more "phone-related" items than "big" Outlook. Thanks in advance for a link to a Modaco or external posting !
Guest Vector Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 The SMS, inbox, contacts etc. are stored in mxip_*.vol and cemail.vol, not sure if you can edit them tho :? they are found in the "IPSM" on smartphone 2002 and in Smartphone 2003 they are stored in "Storage" :D
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 On SP2002... mxip_initdb.vol in IPSM You can tweak it: change location (Storage Card). Problem is, your phone won't sync to PC.
