I'm living in a poor country, so I don't know much about Smartphone. So I write this topic to have your choice about "what is the best Smartphone?" from now to some next months...

I see that there is a new model from Motorola: mPx100. Do you think that it will be the best one?

Yes, Motorola MPx100 will be the best Smartphone if no others are announced... :D

but at the moment the E200 is the most feature rich with the camera and Bluetooth ;)

. . .you plug the camera into the same slot as the memory card where you want to save your piccies. Brilliant

My friend came to Taiwan lastweek, and bought a Mio 8390. Its price is 390$ in Taiwan. He thought that it is little expensive for a phone... :D

I like it too, but I prefer mpx100 rather than Mio. mpx100's design is better than, I think so... It looks like T61x from SE.

However at Event Meeting, mpx100 does not show anything ;)

Only Mio 8390!!! :D

CPU can be clocked at 300MHz, has 64-bit 2D nVidia GoForce2150 accelerator ;)

they're giving the cam for free here in the phil. just like in the case of the E-100.

you insert the cam into the sdcard slot? bummer. now you can just save all your pics in the sdcard while clicking away.

IMO, All these upcoming phones suck. They have 65k color screens and probably no graphics accelerator. I would get the mitac mio 8390, But the build quality of it SUCKS. Literaly, The phone just falls apart. The paint chips. Hopefully, The mio 8860 will be a better build with the same great features of the 8390.

BTW, Will the v1000 be a smartphone or not?

What about the MPx220? That looks like it's gonna be a lovely little piece of kit, I think.

Thoughts?

Wont have a Graphics processor, only a 65k color screen. No SD card slot, Mini SD is stupid and i dont plan on switching standards. So IMO, All these upcoming phones SUCK. Can't wait to get mio 8860.

errrr, 65k (16 bit) colour screen is plenty, you wont notice much difference at all with 262k colour (18 bit), and the graphic acceleration is only used for vid playback and camera. And without trying these phones how do you know they SUCK???? (oh and as far as i'm aware, both the MPx100 and MPx220 both have multimedia processors)

dont get me wrong, the 8860 does indeed look very nice, but i think lack of bluetooth is unforgiveable these days, so it will be mio's next handheld after the 8860 which i'll be looking forward to with interest.

ps (miniSD is the future, LOTS of companies are starting to take this onboard, for mobile phones and for cameras, the smaller the components, the smaller the device)
