E200 - email received, but disappears, HELP!

Hi,

Got e200 yesterday with new ROM preloaded.

Send/Receive shows my Orange email being received (via POP3), but then the mail doesn't arrive in inbox or show as having arrived on homescreen. It looks as if it's being moved - does anyone know where its gone?

I've also set up Yahoo on a separate account on the 'phone and this works fine. The problem is exclusive to my Orange account.

Have you checked, using a PC, to see if the msgs are still on the server?

Also, can you download then into your PC (using Outlook Express for example)

This may help you rule out whether the issue is with the Orange server or perhaps you have not quite got the correct settings on your fone :?: :?: :?:

Are you trying to download just the headers or the entire message :?:

Suggest you try just Headers, initially :idea:

Msgs still on server as can download via PC afterwards. Same problem with headers or whole message.

I get 1 of 1 received, but never see the message...?

Might be too simplistic, but have you checked how many days worth of e-mails your account is set up to receive on the phone? You can choose only today, three days, etc. If it has been set up to only do today and your mail only contains older items, none of them will be shown on the phone, even though it will tell you it has received them.

I've tried choosing only today, and sending new mails to my Orange account with the same result.

If only this were fixed I would start feeling better about my (risky) purchase...

I had this problem too.The way I got round it was the following.

1. Delete all emails, sms etc from your phone.

2. Set your email account to download ALL messages from the beginning of time !

3. After receiving, delete all emails again from handset.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3.

5. Set to receive only todays messages ( I think the header option doesn;t work!)

This should then resolve your problem (well it worked for me anyway !)
