Change a tone for a particular profile

What I want to do is change the notification tone when the phone is on the Discreet profile (I would creates this). I would have the ringing sound off and the notification sound as I think it’s called “beep” where there’s a tiny beep from the speaker.

Is there any way I can do this? Please let me know, thanks.

Go to the profile listing (Tap the powwer button on the original SPV) so you can see the profile listing. Highlight the one you want to edit and then press the Right SoftKey (Menu). Choose Edit and from there you can edit the sounds. Note all these button presses are done on the original SPV and might not be the same on the SPV3/E200.

This should have been in H&A.

Correct, it's not on the SPV3.

anyhoo, you can do it by modifying the profiles using your pc to include the ringer reg stuff, dont have time to do it at the moment though

Does it involve me editing the profile's .xml file, or do I need to edit something in the Registry?

its the profiles xml, needs adding for each of the profiles, not sure of the exact key off the top of my head, but its the same as my ringtones on SD card profile tweak i posted a while ago, so you could look at that and see how its done and apply to all your profiles

that will give you the option of selecting and tune for any profile, just like my backlight profile tweak

Well, I've tried it and it really doesn't work.

If you know how to do it, please tell me, just even put 5 minutes effort please for me, to you perhaps it's not a very big deal, but to me it will really mean a lot.
