WM player skipping and sync problems

I hope this hasn't been posted already, but...(I don't know if this is all related)

Ever since I updated my ROM module for my e200, (to 2.6.1.3), my windows media player seems to skip near the end of the song (generally 128kbp mp3) to the next track. It's not always near the end either, but thats where it's most common. It's really frustrating having the track interrupted to go to the next one, it is very annoying, and the lack of forwarding/rewinding compounds this.

Secondly, every once and while when my phone is in the cradle sync'ed with my pc (winXp),it cuts out, as if the phone has been disconnected. So when I'm transfering say an album, it'll stop half way, same for a large video file, because it's been disconnected.

Any ideas?

Have you got alot of progs running in the background?...

If so get the essential Task Manager and close all progs before listening to music...

Or another thing to try would be to encode the music at a lower kbp?

Thanks, I'll try the lower bitrate, generally there aren't any other programs running, I use the task manager that comes with the phone, but am downloading the program you suggested.
