Guest Palindrome Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 I was just wondering what the maximum speed for file transfer between my PC and E200 using activesync is supposed to be? Currently I'm getting about 20kb/s going by this: It takes a 10.9Mb file 9 minutes to transfer giving a total speed of 20kb/s - 10.9Mb x 1000 = 10900Kb 9 minutes x 60 = 540 seconds 10900Kb / 540 seconds = (just a smidge over) 20 Kb/s So, that would make the E200 transfer rate around 200Mbs? Would that be right? If that isn't the max hardware transfer rate is there anyway to improve the speed?
Guest PaFF Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Palindrome, You forgot to multiple by 8 to convert Bytes (file size) to bits (bandwidth) this gives: 10.9*8*1000=87200Kbits 9*60=540 secs 872/540=161Kbps
Guest Palindrome Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Whoops :? just noticed my little 200Mbs, rather than 200Kbps typo. Must have been my unconcious desire to have super fast bluetooth leaking through my brain. Warrenpass, cheers for pointing that out. So, is 161Kbps the max hardware cabaple speed of the E200?
Guest PaFF Posted April 26, 2004 Report Posted April 26, 2004 Don't know, Part of my job entails capacity planning of my companies Wide area network. Sad I know. :D
