Accented Characters

I am currently using version 1.5 iMate ROM. Is there a way to put accented characters in SMS while using T9? I am aware that the Qtek ROM can do it when not using T9.

have you tried holding down the # key while in the message? :D

That will only switch it between T9, 123, and abc...None of which can make accented characters. What I am looking for are characters such as the dollar sign, brackets, slash, the letters with the dots and lines on top of them, etc.

no, Holding down the * key changes between T9, abc, 123, and holding down the # key should present you with a full screen of symbols :D
