Guest Maverick Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 erm... Marketing reasons == We want people to throw away E100 and buy E200 from us ?? What a bunch of jokers.
Guest Sonicr360 Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 I would not recommend the E200 - Whats the point?? Only be replaced by a better model in due course! Seems to me this is all going downhill, and its about time a good, reliable smartphone that supports all bluetooth devices and comes with a professional car kit is the answer! E200 is a no go in my opinion! Simon
Guest Pondrew Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 I would not recommend the E200 - Whats the point?? Only be replaced by a better model in due course! The E200 is a vast improvement over the SPV and E100 BUT you're right that it is not fully compatible with all bluetooth devices and has its own bugs/issues. I'd recommend people wait and see if the MPX100 or Sagem MY-S7 manage to set a new benchmark of reliability/versatility. Then again the Sagem won't have bluetooth and there's no guarantee they won't prove to be as bug ridden/issue strewn as the HTC offerings/MPX200.
Guest Maverick Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I wish some other networks also launch the MPX100 and Sagem. Then these people will have some incentive to provide better customer service and all the "Marketing" reasons will suddenly disappear.
Guest Pondrew Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 I'd say the signs are good Maverick given that Orange seem to have largely given up on the MPX200, and that it was Microsoft presenting the MPX100 at the recent meet NOT Orange.
Guest pierre Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 So funny argument... By the way I had tried the UK 1.6 in my Swiss SPV and it worked really fine.
Guest bbojovich Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Strange, I tried exactly the same thing and I couldn't make it work, the instalation program reports it's not compatible with my phone (I also have an Swiss SPV E100). Does anybody know what's the trick?
Guest pierre Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 I think it's because you need to put your phone in the "Canary" mode into the cradle and exit the "Active Synch" from process'list, but do a search (install updates) to find out the exact procedure if you are still interested. Or anyone can quickly respond bbojovich?
Guest aibolit Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 Hey, I have SWISS 1.5 on my SPV too, and I want to upgrade to UK 1.6. Can anyone tell me how? Please? :?: :!:
