You guys and gals seem to take pushing the smart phone as far as it will go very seriously. Is anyone looking for a project to make for the smartphone? I have an MPX200 and a passion for the old board games 'Hero Quest' & 'Space Crusade'. I think it would be fantastic to be able to play heroquest on the phone, or any other turn based strategy. Since Hero Quest was once availble for the Speccy and Atari STe I think the MPX200 should be more than capable. If anyone wants a photocopy of the rules I could dig out one of my (two) copies of Hero Quest, although my copy of Space Crusade got accidentally sold in a car boot sale.
Guest Gorskar Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 heh yea I remember the space crusade PC game... ran too fast to shoot on any modern PC, but was great fun back in the day. However you'd proSPAMbly need to liscence a direct copy from games workshop.

Guest djboo Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 the best version was the spectrum version by a mile - it was the only version with full isometric view - not even the amiga version had that!!! and theres a speccy emu. so thats an easy 'port' :D download pocketclive, the tzx of spacecrusade (or heroquest) and bobs your mothers brother ;)

Considers how easy it would be to create the random routes + quests, given a predetermined Walled dungeon layout, a couple of Zombies, and a few Chests.... Guest djboo Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 this months retro gamer magazine (issue 3) has a gremlin special CD. if u remember - space crusade was by them - and they have seceral different platform versions of SC1 + 2, most versions are redundant, but the speccy version is there and we have speccy emu. until we get C64 or ST emulation, the speccy is yer best bet for spacecrusade based shenanigans.

NOT AI Aaarggh!!) :) The Poking Stick was just going to be a test item, to check how much text I could fit onto the cards. Should I add new items? If so, submit item ideas now :lol:
