Guest superqbeef Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Check this out, I'll try to keep this real simple. 1. Take the File you would want the ringtone from (i.e. 50 cent) 2. Copy the file(s) to your hard drive (.wma file) from windows media player. 3. If (and If) you have nero ver. 5.5 and up, use the Wave Editor to break down the file. 4. Once you find the clip you want, you can save it as a .wav file and sync it to your phone. If someone already has done this, I apologize for the Dupe Post.
Guest PhillyCheese Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Ive been trying to figure out how to get custom ringtones but having the same problems converting it into .wav or midi0 (polyphonic). Call me lazy but i dont want to download Nero 5.5 is there anyway or a website that anyone has figured out? [-o<
Guest ferret Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 www.dbpoweramp.com it will convert between mp3 > ogg > wma > wav and some more. It's quick clean and easy (and free)
Guest equis Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I convert from winamp > Settings > Output > WAV Then from Windows accesories use the sound recorder and sample down the rate and make it mono and all of that is already on your computer or free.
Guest biker1284 Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Just be sure you make it mono (1 channel), otherwise it wouldn't work for me. I also use a prog called mp3 cutter which works great on grabbing parts of mp3s.
Guest Disco Stu Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Another awesome tool is Digital Ear for converting wav to midi. Posted from my SmartPhone!
