how to change spv e100 from headset mode back to normal mode

hello i used a nokia headset on my spv e100.at first it works well.but after i take out nokia headset ,my spv still work on headset mode.i cant set it back to normal mode.even after hard reset it still in headset mode.i hope anybody can help me.thanks

This is a common problem and if you do a search you will find lots of advice.

The Headset mode is activated by a switch inside the socket, because this is hardware rather than software a reset won't do any good. That switch can get stuck quite easily. The easiest way to reset the profile is to get something inside and wiggle it around - the first thing you should try using is the headset plug itself, just push in and pull out (I've used all sorts, from pins to small screwdrivers). If it's just got stuck when you have taken out the headset it may not be too much of a problem, even though it's a pain to remember.

I had to replace my phone recently when the headset mode started turning itself on during calls. I don't know if I damaged the switch in frustration, so be careful!

thank you for your help. i plug in and out nokia headset several times but no way.at last i try to modify the set of profile in registry.i found in profile,default and previous set is Normal,active set is Headset.i delete headset then inpute normal.after quit registry editor.my spv go back to Normal mode and work well.

This problem is normally SPV related rather than E100 but as you have been using a non standard headset this may be the reason for your problems.

As this is normally a hardware problem, sending it away for

repair is normally the only real solution :D

One thing to try is to change your homescreen theme, this can also give the wrong profile sometimes.
