Guest jmrecanize Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Is it possible to have an amr file as a ringtone. I hope so because this can save a lot of space. If it is possible can you tell me how please.
Guest ferret Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 The phones only support wav and mid files as ringtones (2003 devices can also support wma). Wav ringtones don't have to be that large if they are kept shortish and encoded to optimum settings (have a look in the Articles section)
Guest MadElves Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 how can you make amr file by the way? and i think it can... coz the DING is there
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 On e100 units: 1. Put your .wav clips in Storage CardMy DocumentsMy Sounds 2. Open your Inbox, create a New MMS Message. 3. Once MMS Editor is launched, click Edit > Sound. 4. Look for the WAV sound file, highlight then press Action button. The phone will process the wav to amr conversion. You will see something like 'Converting to AMR...' 5. When conversion is finished, click Edit then Sound. Look for the converted file. You can then use the AMR as sound attachment for your MMS message. -------- *You can also use a PC program to convert WAV to AMR and vice versa. The app is called Miksoft AMR Converter. Download link? --> Google-ize :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
