Guest tom daghdha Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 What format of video works on the spv? I tried MPG2, VCD format but it didn't recognise the file.
Guest ChrisJM Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 If you want you can play divx... you have to get pocketMVP to play it... and you can use Virtualdub to convert them to the correct format using ClinEastmans VirtualDub Setting v2!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Pocket MVP will play avi and mpeg1 but as standard the phone will only play wmv without additional software. Moved to Help and Advice
Guest Simon Desser Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Unless you're talking about an E200, in which case you can play mp4's as well :D
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 The .dat VCD format wont play on the SPV. You need to convert it first to .mpeg then finally encode to .avi using VirtualDub and DivX codec. The generated .avi will then play smoothly on BETAPLAYER for Smartphone. For the guide, kindly visit the FAQ section and look for sui99spj's tutorials (Media Encoding). For the 'Betaplayer' video (and audio) player, kindly check post by xavierjohn22 at the Software-Applications section. :D Posted from my SmartPhone!

Hi Chris Are you referring to a particular template? If so where can it be downloaded from. I'm familiar with Virtual Dub and TMPGEnc but have barely used Virtual Dub to convert DivX files before (i.e - from full DVDesque quality to SPV quality).
