Guest roozbeh Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Hi there...[updated] This is the port of ids software doom to smartphones platform fetures as i can recall and was not in that other version is.... -it supports sound now... -load/save is working... -works with any doom version -music support!! * and volume up(v2) ::: shoting # and volume down(v2) ::: opening doors escape command ::: bringing menus power button ::: faster screen(v1) call button(green) ::: changing windows layout...londscape/portrait(v2) voice button-map softkeys--strafing 0---Run mode simply copy your wad files to where you put this.... for music you have to download mydoomce2 convert your favorate sound to wav or ogg name it doom.wav(or doom.ogg) and place it in same directory and enjoy! if you dont want music you can use -nomusic option or dont place any sound file in directory. wav file doesnt reduce fps that much but it doesnt reduce it from 12~18 to 6~12 ogg is very bad as it has very harder decoding algorithm. for those MITAC owners(which have problem with second doom version): i have added -nogapi option.use that. wad file wich you can use is: doom1.wad doom.wad doomu.wad doom2.wad doom2f.wad plutonia.wad tnt.wad there is a way to make those big wad files run better... i will add that option soon. also as you know doom got lot of keys....tell me how do you like to use them and......what keys are really important...as i've got some idea for making all keys availble.... Guest nato Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Neither can I. I have the .wad file in the correct place ( i take it it looks there ?) - Game starts to load, and some text scrolls up the screen, but then nothing happens.Just returns to menu.Any ideas ?

Guest Brody Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 For anyone experiencing the closing of Doom after the text scrolls on the grey background i'm sure it'll be a wad file problem, namely that you haven't got one or its in the wrong place. It has to be in the same folder as the exe file.

Guest roozbeh Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 well i tought as "y" is on 9 keypad and "n" is on 6...it is best keys for yes and no......well i think wasnt that good idea :D) those who has still problems on e200 please send me their .dbg file..... (but first please make sure you have done everything correctly)

(HTC Tanager) If it does, it's going on my memory card! 8)

Then regarding sd root, i can play doom in any folder as long as its with the WAD file. Sd card or whatever. Nice one on Y and N exit, 9 and 6. Sounds okay and speed too. I thought my visions blurding when playing while getting power ups, ha ha ha ha, the screen flickers when getting these that's why. Now i can play it with sounds. I want to make an icon for the exe Roozbeh, but you've signcode your doom exe and i dont want to signcode it on another cert. maybe i'll just made one first then post it here then import it with your resources. The game file is stored in the root of the phone. when opening smart explorer youll see (IPSM, WINDOWS,TEMP, STORAGE Card, and the DOOM DBG save game.) That's why we loss it when turning our phone off.
