IR REMOTE ORANGE SPV

Hi I was wondering if there was any software out there that I could install on my Orange SPV so that I could use it as an IR remote for my DVD/TV.

I found alot of old threads around on some other forums saying it wasnt possible but some were dated late 2002 I was wondering if maybe after the new updates and stuff maybe something was around which could accomplish this ?

Would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if this is possible or not and if so how :D
