Guest DangerMouse Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 When using the default Orange homescreen on an MPx with NO extra software, and not de-certed i find that for no apparent reason the homescreen will disappear and will become a white background with only standard basic info on it, such as "Ringer Off" if i have the phone on silent, etc. This sometimes happens when im composing an SMS, but not always... Is this the jmms problem that ive read a bit about? (I have never sent an mms) or is it somethign else? if its something else, has anyone any idea how to fix it without having to do a reset...? Also, a really stupid question im sure, but ive never had any need to use it before... Speakerphone... how the hell do i switch it on?! If i click on it from the profile selection screen nothing happens. Same with my old SPV (original) that i tried it with to test... One last question... Anyone know where a decent, designed for MPx200, holster can be found? Ive tried a few and theyve just been a waste of money universal thing that really isnt up to scratch... When i han old V. series motorola it came with a great leather holster - unfortunately the mpx is too big for it! I hate these cases that the phone has to stay in! ;) Any help is greatly appreciated :D Steve / DangerMouse
Guest DangerMouse Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Just found out the answer to the speakerphone problem back in the depths of the forum. The others i still need help with please :D
Guest DangerMouse Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 does anyone have any ideas on this? :-/ The error message is along the lines of "no valid homescreen installed... select a new one... blahblahblah" Ill try and post a pic later on next time it happens so you can see for yourselves what i mean.. better than me trying to explain, heh
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 That message normally means what it says, it can not see the homescreen theme file you are trying to choose or it is not compatable. Themes are normall installed with a .hme installer but just simple homescreen images should be put in the IPSMApplication DataHome folder
