Where are my Bluetooth received files located???

Hello all,

I recently received two videos from my mate's Nokia via Bluetooth. THe devices connected ok & the files transferred ok. My e200 even asked me to confirm whether I wanted to receive the files and the Nokia confirmed successful sending

I just can't find them ANYWHRE on my phone. I've searched with SmartExplorer and even gone through all my files manually.

Where on earth have they gone?

Hope someone can help.

I've had this same problem and I'm embarrased to say I never got to the bottom of it as wasn't particularly bothered about the files I'd received (just a couple of ringtones).

Anyone?

Just checked with my E200 - I sent some files from my PC via Bluetooth and found them in StorageMy Documents.

I'm sure you've looked there but that's where I found them! I'm on the latest update if that makes any difference!

Yeah, looked there as you guessed. Nothing.

I saw somewhere else on the forum that a guy recieved files under ~ 1 Mb but nothing bigger. Maybe that's the problem as these videos were quite big.

When you say ' updated ', what do you mean? I got my e200 in February and am assuming that I'm up to date. When did the update come up and what did it do?

My mate's just got a new e200 so I'll try it with his tomorrow.

Thanks for answering,

GH,

Sorry - just tried with a bigger file (the ones I tested first were <1mb) and have exactly the same problem as you!

Just sent a 5.89mb wma over bluetooth - it seemed to send fine and I opted to receive the file but when I try to find it, nothing!

As for the update, I've only had my E200 just over a week (had a E100 before) and as it was pretty new, it came with the update already on and so haven't really got my hands dirty with it. There is LOADS of information on here about the update, loads of pros and cons, what it does and what it doesn't do. Do a search for e200 update - you find everything you need!

Cheers,

Thanks for that. Funny problem this, isn't it? (Funny strange, not funny ha-ha)

I'm grateful to you for finding that out for me (and others, no doubt). It saves me agonizing over my lost files and repeatedly searching for them like I have been.

I'm actually not too interested in being 'updated' as my phone works quite well as it is. I would only have updated if it had solved this current problem - but I'm thinking that it won't as yours doesn't work either.

Thanks again.

Can anyone suggest a solution (preferably) / reason????????
