Guest AdamT Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Ccnsider this problem: I have bought a used SPV E200. Seller did of course not give me his SIM-card. The phone is SIM-locked. I dont have a subscription with Orange, but want to be able to use the phone with another operator. When i try to open the phone it says "Invalid or missing SIM-card". Question 1: How to unlock the phone, when I have no Orange SIM-card? Question 2: Will I be able to start the phone at all when unlocked without a Orange SIM-card? Give it your best shot guys :D
Guest shaund316 Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 sorry but looks like you'll need 2 buy an orange sim, you could transfer your number though just give whoever you're with a bell saying that, thats just what I think u might be able 2 unlock it
Guest squall Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 hmmm using the imei number printed under your battery you can obtain the unlock code from www.imei-check.co.uk you then enter that code when prompted to after inserting sim from any provider and switching on. Are you doing this as describe and having problems? Little confused about your query as at no time do you need to use an orange sim!...
Guest AdamT Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 I cant seem to get a reaction from the website - i write my imei, but nothing happens? I dont have PayPal - so what to do?
Guest AdamT Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Problem solved! I simply walked into an Orange store in Frederiksberg, Denmark, and they unlocked it for free. The phone's not even 4 months old :D I didn't need to use an Orange SIM-card. They just started the phone, I entered my non-orange SIM-card PIN-code, and they entered the 8 digit unlock code. Took us 1,5 min. and NO MONEY !!! SO DONT WASTE 20£ ON PHONEY WEBSITES: THE SHOP STAFF TOLD ME THAT ORANGE EVEN GIVES THE CODE WHEN YOU PHONE THEM !!!
Guest Vector Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 In this country if we want to unlock our phones via Orange we have to pay off the rest of our contract and pay the unlock fee? :?
Guest Will Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 out of interest what information did they require from you? proof of id? did they record the imei or other details? it's great if orange denmark will unlock a phone, but it seems a little 'wierd' that they will do it for free (no admin charge no nothing.. my thoughts are 'what's in it for them?' Will
Guest AdamT Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 They actually didnt require anything at all. It seems - not only do we have the most beautiful girls - we also have the best service :-D And Denmark is REALLY beautiful this time of year (especially the girls *g*)
Guest superchoward2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 all of the girls in denmark have moustaches
