newbie, a few questions, unlock & appz

Hello people! :D

I won my mpx200 in a competition, lucky me, motorola uk sent me the phone and I was wondering if I need to App Unlock and Sim Unlock.

The phone arrived brand new, no sim, no operater settings, naked.

It happily took my O2 sim and imported all my contacts.

It wont play the Doom game, error message, please make sure the quake100.rom file or whatever is in the same folder, it is.

So do I need to app inlock it?

Other games like ZRick Dangerous play fine?

Also is there a program to let me customise the start start up logos? Currenly I have to stare at the OPERATOR LOGO black graphic while it loads.

Please forward me to any resources to make my phone cool!

By the sounds of it the phone is already SIM and application unlocked.

as for doom (I see you mention quake so let's day thats a typo :D ) Seriously though what version of doom are you trying to run?

I presume as it is a new phone and you will be playing with it quite a lot, one days battery life could be possible. With normal use you should get two to three days life.
