Guest Gorskar Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Did anyone in a non rainy part of the country get to see the eclipse? Any good? Gorskar hates how wet Manchester is.
Guest SystemicAnomaly Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 nope, blowing a gale and sheeting rain in cornwall! Am used to missing eclipses after the solar eclipse in 99 which could only be seen on the radio one roadshow screen. lol
Guest idavid Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 yeah. i spotted it walking home tonight. had totally forgotten about it and then noticed that the moon looked a bit odd. missed it when it was full but when i saw it it had a tiny white cresent at the bottom and the rest of it was actually red! damn cool. can see it out the window now but most of the eclipse has passed now...
Guest Vector Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 yep, i saw it :D it was when it all had a red glow except for a silver lining at the bottom, looked pretty cool ;)
Guest tony_man Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Yay Saw the lovely moon here in Richmond! The clouds dispersed at about 9.40 and there it was! Colour was sort of redissh brown with a hint of purple. The edges seemed to be brighter, as if a ring of light surrounded the moon! Well cool! T
Guest Jandy Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Arse!! New I forgot something!! How long till the next one then?...... Mind you, if Gorskar didn't see it I probably couldn't either. ](*,) Manchester rain....
