Guest ajmaravilla Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 I can send MMS messages on my SPV without a problem...However if I receive an MMS it will download, but I will receive a message that says: //www.w3.org/2000/SMIL20/CR/Language"> I can't view the picture that was sent with the message. Although I can see the picture if I open the email then I have to browse to the following folder: WindowsTempMMSForward. If I don't open the email first, I can't find the picture in any of the folders. So I will need to attach my phone to the computer and browse to that location or I can use Smart Explorer EN. However if someone sends the picture to my email address (not the email address of the phone) the picture will show up as an attachment to the email. So I have the following questions: 1. How can I view the picture without having to browse to the location mentioned above? 2. Do I need another program to view the picture? 3. Where is the MMS picture stored? Thanks!
Guest slider Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 The MMS comes down into your inbox in exactly the same way an SMS does. The only difference is when you click on it to view, the picture should be shown inline. The symtoms you describe look like the content being sent is not compatible with you h/s, best way to test this is to take a picture with the camera, send it to your own phone num and see if you get the same problem. The other posibility is that the IMSI details held by orange do not match those of your handset, eg when i originaly joined orange i had a motorola m3778e, this is classed as a legacy hand set, the systems at orange registered this imsi. When i upgraded to an SPV i kept getting legacy messages saying this content could not be displayed, a phoned 450 (JT Cust Services) and asked them to update my IMSI (You can display this by typing *#06#), they asked me for the number, updated it, sent an OMU to my handset, and lo and behold i was able to view incomming MMS. Hope this helps Slider
