SPV sold with free photo messaging to EMAIL ADDRESSES?

Orange are plugging this free Photo Messaging for Dec, Jan and Feb deal everywhere. Lots of (quite good) radio commercials, for instance.

In their December 2002 guide from Orange Shops, page 7, it says

"free photo messaging to all pay monthly and pay as you go customers... You can send photo messages to up to five email addresses." Underneath are 6 phones including the SPV.

Even on the outside of my sleek black SPV box was a little sticker saying Free Photo Messaging, up to five email addresses. So how, How, do you send a photo to an email address???

Aren't I right in thinking that it can't be done? Other than creating an MMS and then sending it to an email address? This really wasn't what I had in mind... I think it's fair to say it implied you could email photos for free to up to five email addresses. Therefore the SPV should be able to email photos. I feel a bit mislead and missold.

Well technically you can send photo's to email address - you've just got to do it via mms which is a pain. It's ok while it's free but going to be a pain once we have to start paying!

I think if you read what you have posted carefully, you will see that it refers to photo messages sent to email addresses, not photos being sent as email attachments, so technicaly speaking it does what it says on the box.
