Guest sprazz Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 How do you forward contact details with SAP? When My buddies ask me for someone's number, I have to go find a pen and write it down so I can send it to them through sms. Is there any app out there that can solve this? Nokia can send it out as business cards right? I get these contacts as vcards but can't send them out.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Buy Contact Insert. Its a SmartInsert plug-in by twyx. or do it manually using the Xbar Copy-Paste trick then send as an SMS message. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Here's how I do the Copy-Paste trick (on SAP): 1. While in homescreen, I press the right softkey to launch/open my Contacts. 2. I browse for the contact's name using the Action button. 3. When I see the contact's name, I press/hit the Action button to view the Contact's info. 4. I press the leftsoftkey to enter Edit mode. 5. When Edit mode is activated, you'll see First Name:, Last name, mobile phone boxes. 6. I go to the First name box then launch X-Bar (record button) then press number 4 in my keypads to copy the entire info in the rectangular box. 7. I press the Home button to shift to the homescreen and launch Inbox (Action button). 8. I compose a New Message then scroll down Action button to go to the message box. When I see the blinkin' cursor in the message field, I launch X-Bar once again then press number 6 to paste the copied info. 9. I launch X-Bar then look for the 'Contact' window from the opened applications. 10. I scroll down to the 'Mobile phone' box, launch X-bar then copy the info. 11. I launch X-Bar, look for the 'New Message' window then dump/paste the copied info (keypad 6). 12. When all info I want to send are there in the message field already, I insert the recepient's number in the 'To: ' box then finally press 'Send' to send the message. Whew! A lot of things to take note of but when you get used to these tricks, it's better than copying an info with a pen and paper...well, comes in handy when you dont have a pen and paper with you or when you dont wana memorize long phone numbers. BTW, you need X-Bar by xetra and Copy-Paste Xbar1 plugin by maxh2003. :D Posted from my SmartPhone!
