Guest nedge2k Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Been missing your beloved startup sounds on your new WM2003 machine? Well miss them no more..... What you need SmartExplorer 2b6 A nice startup sound Method (the easy way) Fire up smartexplorer and press File>Open>Manage File Types Scroll down to .wav, press Menu>Edit File Type Then press Menu>Change Application and goto Windowssndmgr.exe Then press Menu>Change Icon and goto Windowsalbum.exe or goto whichever's apps icon you want wav files to display (i've used on of my own) Make sure download in IE s checked and press done. This has now assigned wav fles to be played by the system and not the built in IA software. Finally goto the startup sound you want (must be Storage not SD) and create a shortcut to the StorageWindowsstartup folder and rename the shortcut to 1.lnk instead of mysound.lnk Restart you phone and grin with joy ;) Also....if you're using BLAddFont, screenfix etc rename their shortcuts in the folder too and just put an "x" infront of their names (the phone loads the startup folder content alpabetically apparrently) You may experience a little stutter on longer wavs and you cant have it vibrating anymore but hey....at least its something :D
Guest Machineman Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Is it also possible to run programs at startup? I would like to run Biologin in the start up so you've some sort of fingerprint acces. So this must be started I tried the "X" infront but this didn't work. Have any Idea? Greetzzz Machineman
Guest nedge2k Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 For sounds use the app i got chrisjm to make instead of my method. Dont bother with renameing the shortcut, beersoft told me that the contents of the startup folder are loaded alphabetically...this doesnt seem to be the case. For the biologin prog...just shortcut to t in the startup folder
Guest Machineman Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 That is what I did. It starts but does not open the window. It runs in the background. But what I tried to do is to run it as extra "protection" at the startup. So the actualy window opens and just closes after the program "scanned" your finger. I thought that you would have an idea how to make the phone open the actual window of the program at startup. Greetzzz Machienman
Guest nedge2k Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Sorry dude thats the only way to do it. There is a reg hack but the same thing would happen.
Guest Machineman Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 T I thought that alredy but thanx any way. Would be nice but no problem was just for fun :) CU M8 Greetzzz Machineman
