Guest rikconaghan Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Hi all, am i right to presume that there is no way to get the E200 to play ringtones from the SD card? it seems a little strange, after all after the last orange update for the spv mk1 you could, and i find it hard to believe that orange have not carried across this feature onto the E200? any help greatly appreciated, i just don't want to use up all the phone memory with ringtones!! thanks again!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 You should be able to store ringtones on the SD card in the My Documents folder.
Guest rikconaghan Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 thanks for the reply ash, i have a load of tones in the my documents folder on sd card but the phone won't recognise any of them in the sounds menu, is there a specific path i need to follow in order for the phone to read tones off the sd card?
Guest rikconaghan Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 do they have to be in a Sound folder within my documents or anything like that?? it is just getting a bit annoying now, as the standard tones are rubbish!! any help gratefully recieved!! :D ;)
Guest bosshogg2003 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 There has been a lot of discussion on this so search the forum. But the fix involves modifying the registry and with the new update switching off the SD card god knows what the phone will do. Personally I trim my wav files down as much as possible and leave them on the phone.
Guest rikconaghan Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 thanks for the advice, does anyone know what i need (software) to get to the registry?? and does anyone know if it has actually been done?? thankyou again!!
