Motorola MPX200 in asia

Anyone sucesss using mpx200 in asia? I flashed my phone to have 900 band but still couldn't use it in asia. Any suggestion?

I have no problem turn on the phone. I can able get to the maim screen of the phone so I think my phone is unlocked ok. I've tried to use different sim of different service providers in USA and all sucessfully. When i use the SIM here, which in Vietnam and HongKong, it just have no service at all. I tried to manually edit "settings/telephony/phone setting" and set "Preferred Band" from automatic to 900/1800 but no luck. Then I tried to go to "settings/telephony/networks/network selection" and use the option "find a new network" it gave me this error "The setting could not be save". I then tried to add a network (of my SIM) manually but still no luck in getting any signals. I belived the band 900/1800 not working at all.

I'm not sure why it won't find the networks :?

All you should need to do

In Settings-Telephony-Band selection, set Band to PCM 900/1800

In Settings-Telephone Networks:

Set Network selection to Manual.

Press Done.

Enter Networks again and goto Menu-Find a new network.

Does the SIM works OK in another phone ?

I did everything but it seem like the band 900/1800 not working at all. The sim works on other phones.
