Guest debully Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Finally got a new phone from Orange after 6 months of hassle - had been sent to hayes 3 times for the same fault (soft keys not working) New shiny phone arrived yesterday and after approx 10 minutes of use it falls out of my top pocket, face down into a puddle. Cracked screen and guess what?.....soft keys not working...AAAAAAGH! Now gotta pay Direct Line £75 in excess for a replacement off my house insurance..... I'm not happy... please provide your own horror stories to make me feel better. Again AAAAAARRRRRRGHHH!
Guest cybercamel Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Can't do anything to cheer you up where an E200 is concerned, but I did lose a (dare I say it) Nokia 6310i in annoying circumstances. I'm a Paramedic and while getting the response car ready had, as everyone does, left my phone on the roof. Of course when I drove off it fell off, unbelievably it actually survived in the road, until my return some 2 hours later and still worked. :D But, and I can't believe I did this, I left it on top of the roof again (this was about 5 mins after recovering it). This time I drove off at speed on an emergency, closely followed an Ambulance. Now Nokia's might be tough but they don't survive being squashed by a 3 ton Ambulance. At least my colleagues arrived at the emergency in good spirits, laughing their heads off
Guest sponge Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 I've got a mental image of you and your collegues attempting to resusitate your mobile phone now. 'Charging, charging, clear! Zapp!.' :D
Guest martin Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Until the little green light starts flashing, "WE'VE GOT A PULSE" :D
Guest cybercamel Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 :) LOL Of course with the E200 we would be permanently taking it to hospital with all the problems it's got!!!!!!!!
Guest debully Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Just had Direct Line's 'expert' mobile repair centre on the phone. They couldn't pronounce my name: Bengie Harper hmmmm thats hard. They'd never heard of an SPV e200 or an SPV. When they asked who made it I said HTC they replied "HTC - thats not a manufacturer - does it say Nokia on it or anything?" We moved on - they asked what was wrong with it, I replied "Cracked screen, joystick not functional, soft keys sticking down" to which the idiot screamed "ITS GOT SOFT KEYS?...LIKE CRUMBLY OR SOMETHING" Stupid northern incompetent pricks - betcha' they try and send me a nokia 6100 back. Wish I'd gone directly to Hayes now instead.
