Car Chargers

Like many other people I am having trouble with my car charger on the e200 when the 100 worked no problem. Initially I tried using the original 100 charger which didn't work so I purchased a brand new one labeled e200 from orange and suprise, suprise that didn't work nor did it's replacement. A friend who also has an e200 finds that his charger doesn't work in his car but does work in the company van!!!. Does anyone know if it is possible to swap the wires round in the charger to see if this works or will this blow the phone up!!!!
