Guest phillipssolutions Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Hi guys, Newbie here - appears I'm not the only one having trouble with the e200, upgraded from the original SPV today. Have tried to find the troubleshoot to this here and couldn't so apologies if I'm re-treading old ground. Activesnyc is the latest version. (3.7.1) build 3244. It recognises my phone, created a new partnership first time I docked it via the cradle. Starts synching the items, then part way through it just stops synching, and looks like it loses the connection. e.g. it says I have 350 items not synchronised, then doesn't synchronise them and the sync colour on the activeysnc screen goes from green to brown to grey - i.e. it is definitely not connected. However I know the phone is connected as when I lift it from the cradle the 'USB device removed' noise sounds. Really struggling with this, have been going for hours and can't figure it out! Help would be really, really appreciated! Need to do this before I can do the ROM upgrade, and want to start adding all my wav ringtones etc,, but no point before I can do all this!
Guest phillipssolutions Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Further to the above: I can set up a guest partnership via the cradle absolutely fine. I can add home screens etc., explore 'My Smartphone' and all other things perfectly well, but of course via a guest partnership you can't sync. When I set up a standard partnership and don't sync e.g. cross the option , I choose sync with this desktop computer, sync only with this desktop comp, check all the options to be synced (calender, contacts, inbox, tasks - i sync all appointments under options), then click finish. If I choose do not sync this information type at the time, calender says 'attention required', contacts is greyed out with the same, tasks is synced, and inbox says attention required and is greyed out also. There is an option to click resolve items which brings up an error message saying 'Items of one or more types cannot be synchronised. Disconnect and reconnect your device'. It also says to view all error messages you must connect via IR or serial/USB - well, I'm connected via the cradle. Clicking OK to get rid of the error message, I try and click sync and it reads exactly the same as the paragraph above 'attention required', etc. Please, somebody help me?!
Guest myktaylor Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 I have the same problem with my e200, tries to sync contacts and calender and then looses connection. Have to remove from cradle and reinsert to reconnect to activesync. Syncs with tasks and inbox though. Like you said, Agghhhhhhhhh! I'll be keping an eye on this one - cheers.
