im assuming youve installed active sync onto your pc from the cd that came with your phone and that youve plugged the cradle into a usb port on your pc. When you put your phone in the cradle and it syncs, click on the explore button in the little sync window. This will take you to your phone. You storge card/memory card/SD card (allmean the same thing) is the directory called storage card, open it up and then you can drag and drop some mp3s into it, you mimght only manage 2 or 3 though. Now to listen to them just open up windows media player on your phone from the programs menu.

Welcome to the site btw :)

Best thing to do is buy the biggest card you can afford.

You won't get much on the 8mb one and you need to install games & apps on the card to keep the phone memory free.

Make sure you shop around Cyrax, for £50 you should be able to get a 256meg. Sandisk in one of the best bets when it comes to compatibility with the SPV...

Oh yeah, forgot to say that www.monolithix.org is your best bet for essential software.

I use SmartRipper to do the conversions and you can get free demos of games from sites such as handango and smartphone.net.

Also try monolithix.org and the Software sections here for some freebies.

There's actually a thread on converting MP3s in the Articles section too.
